Dell Inspiron 5100
Windows xp home, pentium 4 and upgraded to 1.5GB ram. Replaced broken keyboard.
Everything works except for the battery. Planned on trying to use it as my main laptop but it is just to outdated anymore. This was my mothers laptop she bought used in ~2011ish. I now own it in 2024.
November 2024 - Still works.
Lenovo Thinkpad T450
I use this laptop more than my r61i. The r61i has a better keyboard. 6gb ram, i5-5300 2295Mhz
march 2023 - currently broken ive been using the hp laptop
April 2024 - This latop was fixed sometime last year and is working but windows 10 is such a hog it makes the laptop struggle sometimes. I still like the laptop but not so much windows 10. I may look into upgrading to windows 11 but i will buy a SSD for this computer if i do so.
June 2024 - Still my main laptop.

IBM Thinkpad something
old windows laptop that stopped working after the backup battery died?? i believe it is windows 2000 or 98. Might fix it one day.
April 2024 - I believe i still have this laptop somewhere but i haven't seen it in a while. I hope i still have it!
November 2024 - I still haven't seen this laptop. No idea where its at.
Lenovo Thinkpad R61i
My laptop is from 2007. I bought this laptop used, it is my first laptop. It started its life running windows XP. Now it is running windows 7 Home. It has a Pentium dual core running at 1733Mhz and has 2gb ddr2 of ram. Works good still. 2gb of ram has gotten me a lot farther than you'd think.
April 2024 - Nothing has changed with this laptop. still working good, i don't regret buying this.
November 2024 - Still working, haven't used it much.
Hewlett Packard Pavilion dv7-1175nr
was found in allyway in chicago. family gave it to me. i bought a power cord for it and it turned right on just fine. old hp logo, core2duo, 4gb ddr2 ram, vista home premium. not sure if battery works yet I want to put a newer operating system on it and maybe a ssd for storage and use it. I always get a kick out of using really old computers in public places.
MARCH, 2023 - cleaned out the dust which resolved the overheating problem it had. I installed linux mint and a solid state hard drive. I currently use this computer as a daily. It is really quick on web browsing and opening programs. It cannot play hd youtube videos the processor is too slow.
APRIL 2024 - keyboard malfunctioning and laptop speakers broke. I got frustrated and quit using it as a normal computer. I stole parts from it for another project. I'm not sure yet if i will fix this, i may just retire it.
November 2024 - Still in pieces since keyboard failure.
