Internet, Landline & mobile phone $30
My cheap flip phone cost $30 a month for unlimited talk text and 3gb of 4g data using verizon. After 3gb data speeds are throttled down to 120Kbs (2x the speed of dialup!) My phone does not have hotspot but it allows interet over usb. If wifi is needed i can create a wifi hotspot with a windows 10 pc. A bluetooth adapter allows me to connect my landline telephone and answering machine to my mobile phone. Don't expect to watch youtube and wiz through the world wide web @ 120kbs. Light internet browsing and downloading podcasts work fine. Oviously running off of bluetooth; the landline and anwsering machine won't work when the cellphone is not at home. I live by myself so nobody would be able to anwser it anyway. Cheaper options may be avaible for those with low income, but i don't qualify so this is the best option i could find for the least money. If one had a smart phone faster internet speeds could be acchieved by having visible verizon service.
Make dollar store earbuds sound better
Dollar store earbuds are bad. The only solution i can find is to use an audio equalizer. Now they sound less bad. Here are my settings in winamp, yours may need completely diffrent tuning though :/Image
Repacking 6v lantern battery
If you disassemble the lantern battery you will usually find 4 D cell batteries and cardboard. Just replace the d batteries and reassemble tightly. Saves you about 50%. Image
